"For children in single parent families, the risk of living in income poverty is extremely high and the demands on single parents are increasing. Therefore, the situation of single parents and their children requires urgent attention.
The study by Martina Klett-Davies considers the everyday realities faced by two million single parents and their children in the UK. The report analyses empirical data to present and explain trends and characteristics associated with single parents; childcare and legal issues are also identified and examined. Based on the study, Martina Klett-Davies offers reform options to improve the situation of single-parent families in the UK."
