"Starting from a comparison between the extensive use of joint and several liability in Italian labour law and the much more limited role assigned to this tool by European Union law, the essay focuses on regulation dedicated to the protection of workers' credits in subcontracting contexts under two Eu directives: directive n. 2014/67 on the enforcement of the base directive concerning the posting of workers; and directive n. 2014/24 on public procurement. The aim pursued by the author is to point out opportunities for Italian legislator to strengthen joint and several liability regimes on the occasion of the implementation of these European directives."
