"In summary, it can be seen that the risk of injury from physical hazards, complicated by human factors, is present at all stages in the evolution of the biotechnology company, from the laboratory bench to the production facility. With knowledge that such hazards may be present, programs may be developed to ensure that employee health risks are recognized, evaluated, and controlled."
