"The beginning of tripartite co-operation in Bulgaria was initiated with the General Agreement signed on 15th March 1990 by the Government, trade unions and employers. Later on, a National Commission for the Co-ordination of Interests was established. After the radical changes of the Labour Code at the beginning of 1993, a legally-structured tripartite system for permanent and comprehensive co-operation was then set-up. The article provides an overview of the development of the Bulgarian Industrial Association since its foundation in 1980."
