"The study examines relations between transnational advocacy actors (TNAAs), and the WTO. Its setting is a judicialised form of international cooperation between states on free trade. The “principled belief” actors in this case are primarily concerned about the detrimental effect of a potential decision including the infringement of state sovereignty over its control of health standards. In contrast to much of the studied NGO activity the danger they see is precisely that states will conform to WTO norms on free trade at the expense of environment and health. ..."
