"Job separations occur when an employee leaves a paid job or when an employee's job is removed. Twice as many people choose to leave their jobs voluntarily (resigned, given up for health/family/personal reasons, retirement or other reason) as those who leave involuntarily (either dismissed, made redundant or temporary job finished)."
