It is mainly for those who have responsibility (directly or indirectly) for work equipment and how it is used. If you are an employer, a manager, a supervisor or hire out equipment for use in the workplace, this leaflet will help you understand what you can do to reduce the chances of an accident happening.
This revision incorporates minor changes to reflect the current position with regard to new machinery supply, the need for care if modifying existing machinery, and safety during maintenance of work equipment. References to other guidance have also been updated."
