"The use of modern data processing in the workplace, such as algorithms, big data and artificial intelligence (AI) raises numerous legal questions, particularly in relation to labour law, non-discrimination law, and data protection regulations. A key issue is whether, and under what conditions, algorithms and AI systems can be lawfully employed in compliance with data protection laws. This article aims to delve deeper into the issue by outlining the legal framework, exploring current legal challenges through two recent examples, and offering further considerations based on these findings."
