"In the view of the experts, innovation and digital transformation, which involve the automation of certain tasks, do not always entail job destruction. They put forward different studies that show that technological change is already partially taken into account by workers and that their added value has shifted to other tasks. Instead, they believe macroeconomic trends are more responsible for job losses. As for net job creation, this depends primarily on changes in the supply and demand of specific skills related to digitalisation. However, the experts warn of the risk of labour market polarisation, with high-skilled jobs, the digitalisation of which increases productivity, at one end and low-skilled jobs, barely impacted by this transition and highly exposed to the risks of automation, at the other. ..."
