"This Open Access book addresses climate change in Europe and Latin America from a comparative regionalism studies (CRS) perspective. Written by an international team of scholars and experts, chapters critically analyze proposals for mitigating climate change while contributing to the mutual understanding about the issues at stake across regions. The book is divided into three main sections. In the first section, authors discuss EU and Latin American cooperation, negotiations, and perspectives on climate change, exploring their agendas, the interests and key challenges at the global, regional and interregional levels. The second section focuses on the challenges to finance development and a greener economy. The third section explores new green solutions to climate change in the agriculture sector and initiatives such as nature-based solutions to climate change and best practices. Providing policy oriented solutions for combatting regional climate change at a critical juncture, this volume will be of interest to researchers and students of international relations, international law, and environmental politics, as well as public officials and climate change activists."

"This paper presents a critical analysis of just transition narratives in the context of Latin America, highlighting the need for a Global South approach that considers the specific socio-economic and environmental conditions of the region. Drawing on the existing literature and the case law of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR), the paper examines the role of international environmental and human rights law in promoting a fair and equitable transition to a low-carbon economy. It argues that a just transition must prioritize the needs of vulnerable groups, including informal sector workers, indigenous peoples, and other marginalized communities, who are disproportionately affected by environmental degradation and climate change. The paper also assesses the narratives of just transition in the Inter-American system, providing a new contribution to the literature on human and environmental rights in the region. By highlighting the importance of a context-specific approach to just transition, this paper aims to contribute to ongoing debates on the role of law in promoting sustainable and fair employment in Latin America."

"This paper presents evidence on the number of jobs in global supply chains for 40 countries, and explores in detail whose demand these jobs depend on in terms of countries and sectors. The paper documents the rapidly increasing number of jobs supported by production linkages between emerging economies, and provides evidence on the so-called servicification of manufacturing. Wage shares drop when a sector increases its participation in global supply chains as a supplier."
