"The article, a dialogue between sociology and law, aims to give a gendered perspective of the in work poverty. Partially diluted in the context of a family dimension that makes it opaque on the statistical level, women's poverty at work refers to their persistent discrimination within and outside the labor market. Starting from the constitutional dictate, the paper questions the validity of some instruments made available by law, letting emerge how, beyond the corrective measures that can be introduced, both the full protection of women's right to work and self-determination represents the most valid defense against in work poverty."
