"LO has asked the Danish consultancy company, COWI, to carry out a survey of how stress is managed in Danish companies that have "come far" in terms of preventing and managing stress. This report describes the results of the survey.
The purpose of the survey is to provide an inspirational foundation for companies that would like to start preventing and managing work-related stress. The survey does not take its starting point in a specific definition of stress. On the contrary, the makers of the survey have been open to the possibility that companies may have different perceptions of what stress is and what causes it, or contributes to the stress symptoms experienced by its employees.
The report describes the initiatives of ten workplaces - five private and five public ones. The ten workplaces have been chosen, partly because they have come relatively far in terms of combating stress and partly because, as a whole, they represent a broad selection of the workplaces that employ members of LO's affiliated unions. ..."
