"Die vielfältigen Prozesse von Beschleunigung und Verdichtung fast aller Arbeitsprozesse führen zur Erschöpfung und zur Verunsicherung, zur Vereinzelung und zur Prekarisierung. Davor treten Ängste auf, die in den letzten Jahren deutlich zugenommen haben. Leistungsdruck, immer brüchiger werdende Erwerbsbiografien und nicht zuletzt höchst affektgesteuerte Märkte tragen zu dieser Entwicklung bei. Gleichzeitig werden gerade diese „negativen“ Emotionen wie Angst, Frustration und Wut durch das Mantra des Positiv-Denkens und -Fühlens geradezu verboten – auch am Arbeitsplatz. Dies führt zu Entsolidarisierung, Ressentiments und noch größerer Angst.
Processes of acceleration and work intensification culminate in exhaustion, destabilization, isolation and precarisation. Fears and anxieties are precursors and indicators of these processes which have beome increasingly prevalent at the workplace over the past years. The pressure to perform, as well as unpredictable career paths and volatile, affect-driven markets contribute and amplify these developments. At the same time, the resulting „negative“ emotions such as anxiety, frustration and anger are deemed harmful by the current mantra of positive thought – also and especially at the workplace. This leads to an erosion of solidarity, to ressentiments and even bigger anxieties and fears."
