It has been especially hostile to the prospect of becoming treaty bound to implement limits on the hours of work and the provision of rest days and holidays. None of the 23 non maritime International Labour Organisation ('ILO') Conventions which have imposed, or continue to impose, state obligations on the management of working time have ever been ratified by the UK...."
