"Law No. 2013-619 of July 16th, 2013 containing various provisions adapting the law of the European Union in the field of sustainable development, brings the French law into full compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006. This law is one more stage in the process of modernising French Maritime Labour Law, effort that has already been expressed by the Transport Code adoption. New considerations related to the maritime transport globalisation have also been introduced. Hence, the maritime labour is a relevant observatory of the globalisation impact on employment and Labour law. "
