"This report explores occupational and safety (OSH) risks and work environment challenges associated with digitalization and non-standard forms of employment in the Nordic countries. The chapters analyse how new technologies and work arrangement can both create new and exacerbate existing work environment challenges based on reviews of existing research literature and empirical case studies of platform-mediated gig work in the Nordic countries. They highlight a number of OSH risks and work environment challenges, emerging from the interaction between new technologies and how they are implemented, workers' forms of employment, and labour process– and industry-specific features. The report advances the empirical knowledge about digitalization, employment status and OSH in the Nordic countries, and concludes by developing a risk factor framework that identifies seven risk factors."
