"The UK's low carbon and environmental market is already worth 112 billion, three per cent of the global total, and employs around 900,000 people. But this is an international opportunity that is going to grow substantially over the coming decade and beyond, and the UK is falling behind its competitors in the ‘race' to secure these new sources of growth and jobs. Now is the right time to ask what more cities and local authorities can do to encourage the growth of low carbon jobs."
