"The primary research question was whether the new investment boom in the Hungarian manufacturing sector, boosted by the government's Covid-19 crisis management, could increase the room for manoeuvre that workers and trade unions have. The Covid-19 crisis management by the Hungarian government has favoured companies over workers, and social dialogue has become even more limited. Trade unions needed to shape short-term mitigation, medium-term adaptation and long-term transformation measures simultaneously."
