"Over 2,000 questionnaires were collected. The results of the survey essentially confirmed - by supplying further details - some of the main characteristics of temporary work which have already been highlighted by other sources; indeed, the recent changes in personal characteristics emerge, such as the increase in the average age of workers and the constant rise in the percentage of women workers. As for the health and psycho-physical wellbeing of workers, however, numerous elements for further consideration emerged. Personal motivations (entering the employment market, development of personal skills, work opportunities, etc.) vary considerably depending on age, but the perception of interviewees of enjoying a positive status is quite common, regardless of personal or structural factors or other factors that are closely connected to work activity."
