"Chilean pension funds have been criticized for several years. One of the main critics is the unequal benefits given by sex. Women have suffered of low pensions due to different structural factors. The 2008 pension reform takes into account this problem and introduced measures to correct this inequality. This paper deals with these measures and analyzes the foundations of them through the notion of positive discrimination."
