"The Directive on Seasonal Workers is aimed at combating exploitative practices vis-à-vis seasonal workers from outside the EU. After a thorough analysis of the conditions under which practices can be qualified as exploitative, this article assesses the extent to which the directive is equipped to combat such practices. It concludes that the directive has made progress by addressing situations that are prone to exploitation, using multiple legal approaches. However, it will largely depend on the willingness of the Member States whether the directive will achieve its aim to combat situations of exploitation."
