"Per provare a raccontare l'Europa che verrà, questo contributo rilegge la storia più recente delle politiche economiche dell'Unione europea, per approdare ad alcune idee di riforma del governo dell'euro. Descrive le caratteristiche salienti del governo economico dell'euro, le luci e le ombre della qualità democratica del semestre europeo. L'articolo illustra il tentativo, a partire dal 2014, di riattivare politiche sociali, avanzando alcune ipotesi di modifica del governo economico dell'euro.

CHANGING COURSE? THE SOCIAL DIMENSION OF THE EUROPEAN GOVERNANCE

To try to tell the Europe to come, this contribution re-reads the most recent history of the economic policies of the European Union, to arrive at some ideas for reform of the euro government. The salient features of the economic governance of the euro, the lights and shadows of the democratic quality of the European semester. The article illustrates the attempt, starting in 2014, to reactivate social policies, putting forward some hypotheses for modifying the economic governance of the euro."
