"The phenomenon of posting of workers has grown strongly in the European Union (EU) over the past decade. This situation, in which an employer temporarily sends its employees to another country to provide a service there for a certain period of time, is highly prevalent in certain sectors of activity. That is why accurate statistics on the number of posted workers and their characteristics are of utmost importance. In addition, a number of recent legislative initiatives such as the amendment of the Posting of Workers Directive and the ‘lex specialis' on the posting of workers in road transport, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, make it even more important to properly monitor the evolution of posting."
