"Introduced in 2004 as part of the Act Respecting Labour Standards (hereinafter referred to as the LSA), special provisions for protection against psychological harassment in Quebec were added to the pre-existing legal framework1The public policy provisions of the LSA define psychological harassment in the workplace and require employers under Quebec jurisdiction to prevent or put a stop to harassment, whether the alleged harasser is a representative of the employer or a fellow employee. This recourse is available to employees covered by the LSA regardless of where they work or of the source of the harassment.2 However, once the employer has fulfilled the obligation to prevent or put a stop to harassment, such recourse becomes inadmissible, even when the acts are proven to have constituted harassment"
