"This publication contains a criteria document for the establishment of an occupational exposure limit value for hydrogen selenide prepared by the Institute of Occupational Health of the University of Birmingham (UK) on behalf of the Commission of the European Communities. The objective of the study was to collect a broad spectrum of relevant data on hydrogen selenide chemistry, production, occurrence in the workplace, toxicology, and evaluation of existing occupational exposure limits, where known. All data are interpreted with respect to human health risk and occupational exposure, and are summarized at the end of the report. This criteria document will be used in the preparation of legislation on 'limit values' for the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to chemical, physical and biological agents at work."
