"The article examines the problem of social dumping in the context of an area which is poorly investigated but particularly wide: cross-border road transport on behalf of third parties. The investigation is carried out by: analyzing the peculiar interweaving between free competition and freedom of movement of services, workers and goods within the EU; noting the inadequate level of social rights regulation and the scarce efficiency of the inspection system to ensure effectiveness of those rights. These problems are contextualized within the framework of a very particular process of splitting and relocation of companies abroad. The analysis highlights the inability of the European regulatory model to cope with social dumping in one of the key sectors of the European integration process."
