"Exposure to carcinogens can lead to cancer, which is a major cause of work-related deaths in the EU. Reliable data on workplace exposures to carcinogens is vital for the safety and health of European workers. This report presents the findings of a study on the feasibility of setting up a survey, based on a successful Australian survey, gathering information from workers about such exposures. An algorithm-based system would be used to assess EU exposures on the basis of the data collected.
The study found that, with a reasonable investment of time and money, the Australian survey could be adapted for use in the EU. "
